I got the job. I start Monday, doing basically what I've been doing anyway.

It's almost like playing armchair quarterback, but probably with fewer wounded psyches.

I just don't understand why the thought of success makes me so nervous? Is it because the bigger the success, the bigger potential there is to fail? Hmmm.

I had to buy a whole dozen eggs last week because Target doesn't split them, so my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook had a recipe for a corn frittata that used eight eggs, which was perfect, because that's how many I had left.

So with my new job, I have to start bringing my lunch, since I only get thirty minutes and there's not really anything close enough to get to and back, so I've started trying to cook on Sundays to get ready for the week.

Start my new job today and am more than a little nervous. Just fear of the unknown and I'm sure I'll get over it soon enough. I went by Friday and picked up my badge and keys and some paperwork (damn you, tax forms!)
